Jennifer Barber
Veterinary Technician
I started at Community Veterinary Hospital as a certified veterinary technician in November 2009. I have an Associate in Science degree in animal science and I am certified in animal CPR. I have been a veterinary technician for the past 7 years and have worked in all areas of a veterinary practice from kennel to reception.
My duties as a vet tech include helping run the lab, working in radiology, assisting in rooms and with surgical procedures/dentals and treatments. I became a veterinary technician because working in the veterinary field is exciting. No two days are the same.
I am constantly learning new and enervative ways to care and treat animals. Animal are not like people… They can’t tell us what is wrong. We have to be at the top of our game to figure out how we can help these animals and their owners. When I’m away from work, I enjoy rehabilitating wildlife, and spending time with my four cats Lobo age 4, Phoebe age 8, George age 5 and Fur ball age 7. They are my furry children.
Thank You!!!
